n1ered silver given by Bishop Las Heras , and var–
ious hanging altars, such as are found in the
chapels of the Virgin of Choconchaca, of
'La
Linda" and of the Lord of Earthquakes. All these
spec1men s are extravagantly embellished.
Tombs.
In the vault under the chief altar is
the
crypt of the Bishops. In the nave of the "Epistle"
(on the right side) is the Crypt of Canon Fran–
cisco Jimenez de Morales upan wh ose slab is an
inscription and the date of interment.

Archives.
In the Sala Capitular, within the vestry, are
guarded in cases the archives of the dignitaries
of the ·diocese. Included
in the collection are
n1any documents relating the history of the ins–
titution during the colonial period-history 1n–
timately associated with Cuzco.
