The principal altar is also ornamented with
beaten silver, and the silver bier of the Virgin
of Belen is well worth s,eeing; there are paintings
of merit all around, placed between exquisitely
parved tablats.
Santa Ana
The parish of Santa Ana líes northeast of
Cuzco upon the hill of Karmenca-a pre-eminent
part of the Cuzco of the Incas. This church is of
greatest interest on account of the paintings de–

San Cristóbal
This is an Indian pa.rish, located next to
Colocampata at the foot of the Inca fortress. The
belfry, of striking design, is constructed of stone;
on one side is the coat of arms of Bishop Mo–
linedo, at whose instance
it
was constructed. In
