description. From this fact originates this ex–

pression: "Full Hawk ready always for war".

great military construction, its origin,

in all probability, dating back to the period dur–

ing vvhich the inhabitants of Cuzco, composed

of the various tribes which had settled there, pas-

ed through an epoch of bloody wars waged

vvith other tribes or neighboring settlem.ents.
