The Plan.
The plan is a Latín cross of three naves with
fourteen large columns and twenty-one semi–
circular arches which

orm as man

m.ore domes,
about sixty

eet in height.
There are ten interior chapels, including the
front, that in . the center being higher than the
ot.her two; and a door at either side which con–
nects with the adj acent temples of
J
esus and Mary
and the Triumph. There are two high spires with

the notable bell popu¡arly cal ed the "Ma–

It weighs twelve hundred pounds,
being com-posed of a mixture of gold and bronze,
and because of its composition
it
possesses a
harmonious resonance and may be heard twelve
·miles to the $outh of Cuzco.
Style.
The entire edifice is in the style of the Re–
naissance. The

acade , built about the middle of
tbe 17th century, and therefore subsequent to the
