The house on Garcilazo street is today oc–
cupied by a commercial house and has no further
interest as it has been totally rebuilt.
That on Santa T·eresa street, however,
is
still of colonial 1architecture. The stairways of
this house are adorned with paintings depicting
the origin of this family.

This house possesses great architectural
value, and among its noteworthy features may
be
menti·oned the exquisitely carved balcony of
the faoade-unique in Cuzco.
The Houses of Pizarro.
There are today no traces left of the houses
of the · Pizarro family, but a little information as
to the sites which they once occupied may be of
interest.
