The Temple.
This is one of the best preserved buildings
of colonial Cuzco. All around its walls are paint–
ings of great artistic value. A·mong others are
"St. Peter Nolasco" going to the Choir in the
a.rms of the "Cherubim", "The Descent" copies
from Rubens, "The Virgin and the Child", "St.
Catherine" and others. Extremely interesting also
are the pictures which decorate the arches of the
windows, as well as the corners of the choir arch.

The monastery of San Francisco rises at the
side of the park of that name.
