: rrupon entering this temple,
built in
1563,
we have tlíe s·ame feeJ.ing of i11·spiration as when
entering a rom-aintic museum. The •spirit is filled with a -sense of
evocation combined with a spirit11al inquietude ¡ the sombre light
of the gol·d nave is
refle~terl
on the
mou~·ding
or on the pompom1
sculpture work of the altar pieces' '.
The foJl.owing .painti'ILgs are mention-ed: "La .A.doracüón de los
Reyes Magos''; '' .Tesús ante los Doctores''; '' La Asunción''¡ ''El
Desposorio de J esús con Santa Catalina ''. Note the characteristie
frames of ! he d:nawing.s of the altar mayor. The pulpit, as is thí!
case in all the temples, is of especial and reimarkable co'llstiruction.
From the door of the templ•e can be seen a contrasting view of
thc many recent tiled and tinned room of th<e city.
